Aikido communication to communicate safely | 24-25 November 2021
You can learn aikido communication. You will discover how aikido inspires you in daily communication. Especially when you want to achieve a goal and avoid harm to the relationship at the same time.
| Target Group
Aikido communication is for you if you are pursuing a breakthrough in the way you deal with other people. Do you resort to submissive behaviour at times? Do you feel that standing up for yourself would be a better choice? Or, do you react strongly at times? Would you like to communicate more safely and take care of your own wellbeing?
We will not be watching a slideshow the whole time: we will soon start with simple moves derived from aikido, a Japanese martial art. They will be a source of communication techniques. The training course zaps between aikido, theory and practice. The movements and exercises will be a powerful support for resilience and creativity in our communication. We switch between outdoors and indoors, chairs and sofas, stools and judo mats. Aikido is not just a martial art, it is a communication theory.
Even though aikido is a contact sport, it has a curriculum with wooden practice swords. We discover the same techniques while keeping distance. This is an advantage in times of coronaviruses and flu viruses.
We discover how we communicate safely, resiliently and creatively: negotiations, conflicts, intercultural communication, difficult relationships, potential relationships, personal understanding.
- React to potentially unsafe situations.
- Analyse success and failure stories.
- Copy and paste wisdom to practical situations.
- Communicate resiliently and creatively in three levels.
- Analyse a case study.
- Write an action plan.
