Constructive Communication

  • Constructive Communication

| Description

You can learn to communicate constructively. You learn to communicate according to an interaction model that provides support when interaction contains barriers, differences, challenges, or escalation. This interaction model has been researched and inspired by a Japanese martial art: aikido.

| Target Group

For everyone.

| Approach

The training course starts with the participants' input: questions, examples, and cases. There is much interaction and variation. We will not be watching a slideshow the whole time: we will be switching between sitting, walking, talking, writing, laughing, learning, and remembering.

| Contents

You will learn communication principles and skills to achieve noble outcomes constructively.

  • Knowledge and science about successful interaction.
  • The spectrum of challenges and the spectrum of noble outcomes.
  • Physical, emotional, and mental calm.
  • Connection with softness, purpose, and empathy.

Applications can include verbal, non-verbal, written, formal and informal communication.

In short, you will learn to communicate constructively with an interaction model incorporating self-regulation, co-regulation, and noble outcomes. Each participant will go home with a personal action plan.
